This Week's Brushes Doodle: Smiling White Demon

Was kind of stuck for ideas this week. So I ended up with this, weird, unfinished little thing. What can I say, I’m odd.

Creepy/Weird Japanese Thing of The Week: Shiri The Emo Robo-Ass

Posted by Youtube user:novriki

From last week's Compendium:

Built by Nobuhiro Takahashi and his team at the Tokyo University of Electro-Communications,Shiri is the most advanced robotic ass ever made! At least, I assume it is. I’m gonna be honest here. I’m weird, but I’m not comparison shopping the net for robo-asses weird. So I might be wrong about that whole most advanced robot-ass ever thing. If I am, well, allow me to go ahead and preemptive-ly yield to your, no doubt, Superior knowledge of mechanized hind quarters.

BUT… DOES YOUR MECHA-BUTT HAVE EMOTIONS?!
 [There’s a sentence I never though I’d write.]
 Well, Shiri does!

That’s actually the excuse behind this particular bit of creepy. It’s about how the robot mimics emotions, with tactile transformations of…

Okay…Ya know what;

IT’S A ROBOT-ASS THAT TWITCHES AND CLENCHES ITSELF WHEN YOU SPANK AND TICKLE IT! There, ya see what I had to write? Anytime the phrase, “Spank and tickle it” appears in any description of whatever the hell it is you’re doing, it’s not science anymore! It's recreation! And it's creepy.

I feel dirty again.

I’m gonna go now.

Creepy-Weird-Not Japanese, Thing of The Week: Kiss Transmission Robots From Lovotics

Posted by YouTube user: hmnasmn

Remember THIS story, about a group of Japanese students who invented a remote kissing machine for the Internet? Remember how creepy we all thought it was, and how you could never imagine why anyone would build such a thing? Well, just in case you thought the Japanese were the only ones trying to make robot humping a reality, I give you: AI researcher Hooman Samani.

Hooman, as you may have guessed by now, has actually invented an Internet kissing machine all of his own, through a robotics project called “Lovotics”. Yes, That’s right- creepy Internet kissing machines have been independently invented at least twice now.

Instead of a little white box with a plastic bendy straw attached to it, like the device those Japanese students came up with. Samani’s remote kissing toys are made to look like cartoon pigs with giant silicon lips. Which I'm thinking is a not so subtle comment on the potential users of the device, but that's just speculation on my part.

So if you happen to be a shut in with a desire to make out remotely with strangers over the Internet, or even if you just happen to have a thing for anthropomorphized pigs, then today, is YOUR lucky day. All ya gotta do now is grab yourself one of these sweet Internet kissing pigs, and one of those iPad fleshlight mounts I told you about -which also turned out to be a real thing BTW- and you can finally live your twisted little monkey dreams of virtually humping your favorite cartoon seductress, or iOS device.

ENJOY!

You depraved little freaks you.

Creepy-weird Japanese thing of the week: Hatsune Miku, The World’s First Holographic Pop Star

Posted by Youtube user: SeyrenLK

So this week’s Creepy-Weird thing from japan is a little more on the weird side then the creepy. But Leave it to Japan to make the worlds first synthetic pop star, and to form said pop star, in the uber-cute, uncomfortably-sexualized-schoolgirl motif, that we’ve all come to know and love.

Hatsune was created by Crypton Future Media as the face of vocaloid, a Yamaha created technology, which gives music composers the ability to synthesize singing by simply typing in lyrics and melody. Exit Tunes Presents Vocalogenesis feat. Hatsune Miku, became the first vocaloid album to top the Japanese weekly Oricon album charts, in 2010.

Hatsune had already begun “performing” live in holographic form before her album even made the charts. In August 0f 2009, Hatsune appeared “live” on stage for the first time at the Saitama Super Arena. A performance soon followed up with an overseas appearance, on November 21, 2009, in Singapore.

And my friends wounder why I gave up trying to become a musician.
