Pwnisher's Live action Sleeping Dogs Fight Film
Posted By Youtube user: pwnisher
So, the above video was created by YouTuber Clinton Jones (Pwnisher), and was based around the characters and themes of the video game Sleeping Dogs, which is an ultra violent GTA-style game set in Hong Kong, that was just recently released for the Xbox and Ps3. The budget for Clint and friend's Sleeping Dogs Fight Film was actually provided by Square Enix London Studios, who
developed the game in conjunction with United Front Games, and the fight choreography was done by EMC Revolution.

A Brief History of Video Games
Posted by YouTube user: polygon
“An abridged history of video games in under three minutes. Made using only sounds, music and video from the video games themselves. Produced for Polygon.com by Reverse Enginears featuring P Sus.”
The more of these games and sounds you can identify from memory, the more ANCIENT A creature you must be.. For the record, I knew them all.
[sigh]

Quantic Dream: Kara, PS3 Tech Demo
Posted by YouTube user: BrioCyrain
Okay, so this is another one of those things that made the rounds a while ago, so I'm sure you've already seen it. But, It's been sitting in my bookmarks for a while now, I need something to break up the science talk and gratuitous religion bashing with, and it's awesome. So I'm sharing it anyway.
Kara, is essentially a seven minute long animated short film, created by Quantic Dream -creators of the game Hard Rain- to show off their new graphic engine and hopefully, in the case of Kara anyway, the level of voice acting they plan to strive for in their next title. Because that was one of the most common criticism from fans of the game -including me- and those who hated it, alike. And then there was also that bit where you had to control your character during a sex scene... But that was just, weird.

"Brown Sweat"- Bioshock-Themed Craft Beer
I’ll be honest, I really wasn’t a massive fan of Bioshock as a game. I got the first one, played for a few hours, got bored, never went back again. But that’s the usual path for me and shooters. What can I say, I’m just not a fan. But, as most geeks were; I was impressed with the games aesthetic, and I do enjoy beer. So of this Bioshock themed home-brew, I approve.

Fallout-NukaBreak: EP2
Well then, now that I've depressed you all, and/or, just pissed you off with tales of rapey pastors and faith-based greed. Let's move on to something a little more fun, and 100 % less.. molesty. Fallout NukaBreak- Episode 2
As you probably don't remember, since it was several months ago now. I previously shared with you all, Wayside Creation's Fallout inspired fan-film NukaBreak, along with episode one of the web series of the same name. I love this. Which is precisely why intended to make sharing new episodes of the series part of my weekly posting habits. Aaaaannnnd... then I didn't. Cause... I forgot..and... stuff.
What?
I'M DOING IT NOW!
Why are you always judging me?

Flying Fire-breathing Ponies in The Land of Skyrim
So obviously, I've been slacking on my blogging duties again. But this time, I have a really good excuse. Ya see, last week, I discovered the joy of Skyrim! Okay... So, maybe it isn't a great excuse. But it has been fun!
Now, I realize that this game has been out for some time. Hell, it's already managed to spawn a now dead meme, with the whole, "arrow to the knee" thing. So I'm not gonna bother reviewing it as though it's some brand new thing you've never heard of. But, since purchasing it last week for my PS3, I have become hopelessly addicted, though I am thankful that the dragons don't actually look like my Little Ponies. But after a week of playing , I think I've had my fun now. And I promise to do more blogging than dragon slaying this weekend.
Maybe...
I'll try... Seriously.
WHAT!?
Don't look at me like that, I will!
Jerks.

Posted by Youtube user: Wayside Creations
Because it's one of my new favorite things, I've decided to start sharing new episodes of Wayside Creations' fan-made Fallout series Nuka Break, as they are released. I'm starting two episodes behind, so if you don't want to wait, go and check out episode 2 -and the fan-film if you missed it here last week- on Wayside's Youtube channel. If you happen to have a thing for special effects, be sure to check out Zack and Ralis in their new DIY effect series Mad Monster Lab, as well.

Fan-Made Fallout Film: "Nuka Break" (Now also a Series)
This fan-made Fallout film "Nuka Break" from Wayside Creations, and the recently spawned web series of the same name, are both outstanding examples of the kind of unbelievably well made and just plain awesome user-generated content you can find on Youtube these days. But as impressed as I am with the film, the first episode of the series -which I actually saw before this, and you should go and see on Wayside's Youtube channel right now- is even better.
More of this please.

Got Swamp-Ass? Nathan Fillion Wants to Help
Posted by Youtube user: BreakOriginals
In this special PSA brought to you by BREAk and The Nerd Machine, Nathan Fillion addresses an important issue affecting gamers worldwide: Swamp Ass. I know it isn't easy to talk about, but it's real, and if "Captain Tightpants" himself can admit his own struggles with this issue, then so can you.
So please, if you or someone you know is currently suffering from this embarrassing and potentially painful affliction, then help support Nathan's campaign by posting this to twitter, followed by the hashtag: #endswampass. Your taint will thank you for it.

Geeking Out With Metal Gear
I have been a gamer/computer nerd my entire life. In other words, I've played A LOT of games. From consoles to PC's and even arcade games, yes I'm old enough to remember hanging out in Arcades. In all that time there have only been a handful of games which I have ever become truly enthralled by and residing at the very top of that list is the Metal Gear franchise.

Here's the trailer for MGS Rising from this Year's E3 which features some early game play and a look at one of the major additions to the mechanics of the game this time around, the ability to cut things in the environment any way you like.
Posted by YouTube user:IGNentertainment
I also found an extended demonstration of the slicing physics if you happen to be interested in learning more about that, the picture isn't the best quality but it's still pretty impressive to watch.
